Now that Ragnarok is basically finished, the discussion can return to ARK’s future in the main game. With plenty of new areas and artifacts to see, this is a can’t-miss update for ARK’s most hardcore survivors. Deployment was occasionally a tangled mess of coordination between Wildcard and the Ragnarok team, but those conversations ultimately spawned something enjoyable. Ragnarok has become a popular facet of the game since its E3 reveal, and it’s great to see the final map taking shape. Release delays on both platforms made reporting on the patch fairly difficult, but now we can officially say it’s available on all of ARK’s main builds.
This free expansion made its way to the PC version of ARK at the end of December, but it’s been quite the hassle to bring it over to consoles.
